Christmas 2010

What a busy month December was, I look forward to it all year and I didn't even get half the things done I wanted to. Maybe next year I will start the day after Halloween! Seriously, does cookie dough freeze that long? I didn't even get my Christmas cards mailed out. They are all done, just sitting there by my bed staring at me, reminding me they are still there!

Oh well, I'm still sending them out, they say Happy New Year….lol. I guess that's what happens when you watch 6 little kids and have a birthday party the week before Christmas. I didn't even take a lot of pictures of the kids Christmas morning, I think I need a do over.

Enough whining, it was a GREAT Christmas all my children were home and no one was sick. On Sunday we had our annual Hunter Christmas Eve Mexican dinner (yummy food I didn't cook), played some fun games and got our new 2010 ornament (thanks Megan). On Tuesday night we had Logann's 20th birthday party more yummy food that I didn't cook (thank you Nikki) (remember I was watching 6 kids 7 to 5:30) a yummy chocolate cake Grandma Jan made (thank you) and then fireworks in the front yard. I can't believe my oldest is 20, where did the time go.

Christmas morning went to Nikki's and had crepes and eggs, Seth finally got his quilt. It looks sooo good, yes I have pictures. Then we went home for dinner with Kelly's family. Watched a few movies, enjoyed playing with some new gifts, and spending time with one another.

Hunting for Eggs

While we were eating Thanksgiving dinner one of our hens was quit vocal about needing to lay an egg, and she did right there in the front yard in front of some of our dinner guest. Then another hen started to make nosies that she too needed to lay an egg(they do have a hen house to lay in) so we looked around the bougainvillea and couldn't find any eggs.(picture below of the bougainvillea) The next day Eli comes running in the house, "come see," he says, "come see what I found!" So I go out side and sure enough I see 4 more eggs under the bougainvillea. As I try to push back the bougainvillea to get the eggs we discover a whole nest of eggs. Those crazy hens!

What happens when you leave your camera on the table

My mother only told her side of the story about our day trip to the Grand Canyon, this is my side of the story. This is what you find on the camera after you get home and show your husband the pictures YOU took not your MOM of the Grand Canyon. My husband says to me "I don't want to see what you ate" and so this is what happens when you leave your camera on the table to talk on the phone to your daughter who got off on the wrong bus stop while getting the car so you don't have to ride the crowded bus (thank you dear daughter and friend)and did I mention it was all my fault. It was all new to me where to park at and ride the bus. We all did get on the bus together so why could they not notice they got off at the wrong stop(still my fault). This is what happens when you leave the camera on the table to help your daughter who is lost at the Grand Canyon (which was all my fault) so they had to walk up hill on the side of the road not knowing if they going in the right direction(still my fault) till they found the correct
stop (still my fault)by this time we were tired of waiting for them so we decide to eat and this is what happens when you leave the camera on the table to talk to your daughter who is lost at the Grand Canyon (still my fault)

If you haven't been to the Grand Canyon in awhile they have squirrels that are not afraid of you and they are hungry they want food we didn't have any food so one of them was following us they are fast and sneaky. They like to hide and jump out at you it is really funny to watch especially when your sister screams.
